Wood Planes

Wood planes, or hand planers, are an essential carpenter’s tool and are used for shaping and smoothing wood by shaving off thin layers of material with every pass. Precisely-sharpened steel blades allow for the removal of layers from rough timber, to leave behind a smooth finish. In addition, carbon steel ensures the blades keep their sharpness for longer and minimise the potential for taking big bites out of the wood. Different sizes available for different jobs.
